In an oversold condition, the Inverted Hammer is a bullish reversal signal, while it is bullish, and a reversal signal.  It still requires confirmation of a positive move to the upside.  The morning futures should give you an indication on how the market is opening.  But by the end of the day to confirm the inverted hammer we must close at the upper and of Thursday's wick area.  The upside target for Friday is about the 1350 area, and if we closed over 1350 that would put us in a good spot for a continued move to the upside Monday.  The downside target is approximately 1327, if we start breaking below that watch out for the March lows.

In our live trading room Thursday we watched the 60 minute chart of the S&P, its price moved up over the 13 EMA, but the 3 EMA failed to cross up and follow through, causing a little kiss from the bottom and we rolled over.  The lack of the 3-13 confirmation should have triggered a caution attitude on Thursday.
